A Community Caring for Life (ACCL) is a part of an Archdiocesan initiative begun by Archbishop Harry J. Flynn that seeks to promote the “culture of life” by welcoming women in a crisis pregnancy with friendship and her child with joy. We offer the mother encouragement and practical aid in the form of a “pack-n-play” portable crib and layette of basic baby items. We are also able to refer the mother to other resources and pregnancy care centers. ACCL volunteer options include: doing applicant phone interviews; donating new or handmade layette items; organizing and preparing layettes; intercessors who commit to regular prayer for mother and child.
